Connections Spotlights Pacific Impact in Open and Distance Learning

The latest issue of Connections is now available. It includes a special highlight on Professor Ioana Chan Mow (Samoa), who has been named a COL Honorary Fellow for her pioneering work in technology-enabled learning and digital inclusion across the Pacific. Her leadership continues to create meaningful learning pathways for island communities.

The issue also features COL Vice-President Anne-Marie Scott, whose participation at ICDE in New Zealand and contributions to advancing open, digital and ethical learning are recognised as part of the wider global dialogue reflected in this publication.

A dedicated feature on the Partnership for ODFL in the Pacific (page 16) showcases the project’s impact over the past five years — strengthening teacher capacity, expanding youth and women’s learning opportunities, and shaping a resilient, inclusive regional model of open and distance learning.

The edition further includes PCF11 highlights, ministerial engagements, new publications, and insights that reflect the collective work of partners across the Commonwealth.
